What was new
in HTML ImageMapper 3.5?
The new version 3.5 of HTML ImageMapper reflects many changes
and feature improvements requested by our customers. The
most significant improvement it the new software module "ThemeBrowser
1.0" which is a stand alone software component delivered
with HTML ImageMapper 3.5.
| ThemeBrowser |
The
ThemeBrowser enables you to enrich your interactive
internet maps by a thematic component. Now you
give your audience the possibility to look at
the several different maps of the same geographic
extent and toggle between different thematic
views within the same geographic extent. You
as the map author and GIS user just export several
ImageMapper projects from your GIS projects,
let’s say one showing environmental aspects,
the other urban planning aspects and the third
population growth, and use the ThemeBrowser to
combine those HTML maps to one project. This
is just like adding layers in your GIS but your
audience can do it in their web browser without
the need to install additional software. The
end user of the map can zoom in to the geographic
location of his desire and then use buttons you
created to switch between the thematic views
of the zoomed in area. ThemeBrowser is also very
suitable for displaying temporal changes, let’s
say one map showing aireal photographs from the
1950’s, the other from the 1990’s
and the next of this year. |
|
The Themebrowser has a clear and intuitive
user interface. Created themes by HTML ImageMapper
3.5 or 9.2 could be chosen and demoninated
in a separate field.
You have the possibility to configure the
output-layout free or by predefined settings.
