How to use HTML ImageMapper NG - AJAX

With few steps from ArcGIS to the internet: A wizard-based menu makes it easy to make all necessary settings step by step. If you want things to go even faster, you can simply accept the default settings and get a result immediately by clicking on “Start”.

 

The way from ArcGIS to the internet

 

Step 1: Create your map in ArcGIS and load the HTML ImageMapper extension.
Do all the cartography in ArcGIS. HTML ImageMapper will use all the layer and project specific properties such as scale dependent layer visibility and scale dependent size of symbols and labels.
 

Step2:Select the map section in the authoring system on the “Mapping” index tab .

 


Step 3: Accept the default settings and create your HTML file immediately!

or make detailed settings yourself:

Step 3: Select the index tab “Features”. Turn all existing layers clickable and select “Show attributes” as click function.

Step 4: Click on the index tab “Layout”. Enter a heading for your web map and add “Created with HTML ImageMapper NG” as a comment.

Step 5: Select on the same index tab in the group General elements the option “Overview map” and then “Edit overview map”.

Set the size of the outline map and make the detail layers of your project on the overview map invisible.


Step 6: Select an output directory on the index tab “Output”.

Select the file format for the map tiles.

Select “Create web project and tiles”.


Step 7: Select the output setting “Create Google Earth KML” on the index tab “Tile export”.


Step 8: Create the map with "Start".


Step 9: Take a look at the result!
