ExifExtractor NG
With ExifExtractor NG you get the option to extract the Exif information of your digital photos and transfer them to GIS independent data formats. You have the possibility to integrate the data into different geoinformation systems.
The cost-efficient module subscripts all photos containing GPS information in the Exif header. The only assumption is the usage of Windows 2000, NT or XP. The GPS information will be extracted from the Exif header of each photo inside a given folder - optionally within all subfolders - and afterwards saved in several formats.
The new version of ExifExtractor NG offers a lot of useful features which allow a sustainable photo management.
An outstanding improvement is the renaming and moving of image files with batch processes.
Hundreds of photos can be renamed with a customized pattern. You sort your photos regarding the record date, the record location or just regarding the index? No problem. New photos can be integrated into your prefered classification system any time.
Available output formats:
- ASCII CSV file
- XML file
- Google KML file
- KMZ file
- ESRI Shape File
Consequently the photos can be integrated in any desired geoinformation system, database and mapping application, e.g. in Google Earth. The free available software visualizes your GPS photos at the recording location without the necessity of a geoinformation system or having the corresponding maps.
You have allready installed Google Earth? Then just try this:
Download the sample data with pictures from Europe- or the USA and doubleclick on it!
