  • alta4 offers a new software product for all documentation purposes using digital photos and GIS.

The solution contains a high quality digital camera capable of GPS, an internal (GPS module SE-1) or external Bluetooth® GPS receiver and the ArcGIS software extension GPS PhotoMapper.

    Workflow:

  • Turn on the GPS receiver, turn on the camera, take photos.
  • Back in the office download the photos from the camera, integrate them into ArcGIS with full automatical geo-indexing using GPS PhotoMapper. View and organize your photos in ArcGIS ArcView. Done.
  • The simplicity of the solution is possible due to the interaction of several technical components:

Position data is collected by the GPS receiver at the moment the picture is taken, in case of the external GPS receiver transferred to the camera via Bluetooth® and saved in the picture. Notes can be added to the photo as well using the camera's memo function. Find out more about the workflow here.

We put together a complete solution consisting of the following components:

    • GPS
    • Digital camera
    • GIS software extension

Application areas include all fields of object or status quo documentation.
