Fortuna SiRF
III Bluetooth GPS Receiver
The
GPS receiver Slim Bluetooth® GPS from Fortuna is constantly
receiving signals from GPS satellites. The extracted coordinates
are transferred via Bluetooth technology to the digital camera.
After the loss of the GPS signal, e.g. in a tunnel or after
a new start of the receiver, the GPS signal is quickly resumed
using the last extracted coordinates.
A belt bag and a neck bond facilitate the secure transportation
without affecting the recording conditions.
A 1,200 mA battery, which can be recharged using the included
standard adapter or car charger, is used for the power supply.
The receiver can also be connected to an external power source.
The GPS receiver uses the new SiRF III chipset which results
in high sensivity and aquisition rate. Also a parallel tracking
of up to 20 satellites is possible, which can easily compensate
the loss of a single signal. Only four satellites are necessary
for smooth operation.
