Geo-Imaging solution: Technical Components

The solution consists of the following components:

Camera	RICOH Caplio 500SE digital camera	Professional digital camera capable of GPS, with 8 mega pixels and 28mm wide-angle zoom lens. Take pictures, save GPS position with the photo.
GPS camera with compass	RICOH 500 SE with integrated gps module and digital compass	Determines GPS position.
Camera bag	Domke F-5XA	Functional sling bag, fanny pack for your camera and accessories.
Data carrier	SD Card	Memory card for approx. 1.077 (4 MP) photos.
Software	GPS PhotoMapper Extension to ArcGIS 9	Integrate photos into the geodatabase; Add photos to the map, insert orientation, georeference photos without GPS data.
Software	ExifExtractor	Reads the Exif header of GPS photos and saves coordinates in several output formats (csv, xml, kml, shp, ...). Stand alone software for non-ArcGIS users.
	ArcGIS ArcView 9 Needed for the usage of GPS PhotoMapper, not included in bundle.	Technological basis from ESRI.
