PhotoMapper Server is a corporation-wide solution for managing large amounts of digital photos. While storing all your images in a central drive, it is possible to explore them efficiently from all workstations. The intuitive browser-interface and the connection to the ArcGIS Server are pioneering.
You never have to ask again in which location photos were taken and where they are stored within your company network.
By providing a central picture database PhotoMapper Server organizes your data pool. Your current photos will be imported automatically while all users can easily add new pictures to the database.
The graphical user interface uses the embedded GPS-coordinates for localisation in the interactive map. Due to the possibility off tagging and exploring the Exif-Header of your image files it is really simple to find all photos with their exact location in the map.
You can easily add photos without coordinate information by using the drag and drop function in the map. Different user profiles make it possible to manage photos between departments and sections within your company or organisation.
Especially large companies with wide spread organisation structures will benefit from the possibility to use their complete data pool of digital photos independently from the person who took the pictures.

Improved user interface
We added several details to the user interface that allow for a better orientation: the date is now shown in the photo strip at the bottom of the browser. Furthermore, we added a keyword search to the selection and the album section. We increased the thumbnail size for better visibility.

Support of MSSQL database
Based on customer feedback, the MSSQL database is supported again. This ensures that the application runs even with your large data sets when using the MSSQL.
The API of the geocoding service used when searching for locations was changed. Therefore, the geocoding service was re-implemented.

Support of H2 database
From now on you do not need any more additional database to manage the photos in PhotoMapper Server *. With PhotoMapper Server 2.0 an already pre-configured H2 database is delivered.

Share photo albums with other users
Single photo albums can be shared immediately with other users, wherein the rightsmanagement is determined by the Administrator. This can for example be used to set whether other users only see a split album or if they can change this also.
Simplified installation through graphical user interface
The installation of PhotoMapper Server is now much simpler and more intuitive using an installer with a graphical user interface.

Organising Photos in Albums
With PhotoMapper Server 1.1 you may organize your photos in albums. You may create thematic albums and share them among your users. The photos can be inserted to several albums.
You may process all of your photos within an album at once. Add tags and comments or export your pictures as a ZIP-file.
Sophisticated Rights Management
PhotoMapper Server has a sophisticated shares management. You may create arbitrary users and assign specific shates. The intuitive role management supports you during the privilege setting process.
You may assign albums to users and define with whom you share albums.
With PhotoMapper Server 1.1 you may target you search for locations. Simply insert the respective place name and PhotoMapper Server will navigate to the corresponding location.
All photos present in the map extent will be shown and may further be processed.
You may perform a simple search by inserting a search item into the field. Beyond that, the advanced search offers the possibility to search in specific fields.
